This topical gel works wonders (usually within 30 sec- to 2 mins) upon application. Relieves my knee pain immediately, until oral medication can be brought onboard. I won't be woth out it. I use up to 16G daily , 4 G q 4-6 hours. I loved it! I understand it's been out in Europe for over 15 years, only only 3 weeks in the US. What took us so long!!!

I was switched from Celebrex, which I was having no side effects from to Voltaren Gel which gave me chest pains and shortness of breath immediately! I went to a cardiologist and had to wear a Holter monitor for 24 hours and it showed it had effected my heart. I HAD NO HISTORY OF HEART PROBLEMS BEFORE TAKING THIS MEDICATION AND NON SINCE STOPPING IT.

Taken for 6 months for neck pain(arthritis). Works well but have developed severe stomach pain and diarrea. Stop use for a day or two and stomach pain goes away. Resume use and it takes about two weeks for the stomach pain to return. Then repeat regimen. Voltaren is worth the inconvenience.

Suffering from a lumbar injury for over three months. Unable to take oral NSAIDs . Was prescribed Voltaren Gel two weeks ago and finally injury almost completely resolved. I love this stuff! Was thought to have a torn lumbar muscle. Not sure how well it would work for other lumbar injuries. It help where physical therapy and narcotic meds did very little to relieve my pain.

I began using Voltaren Gel 7 days ago for arthritic pain in my feet and hands. I have taken many other, faster acting medications(many with adverse side effects)and as of yet have no complaints. It applies easily and is not offensive smelling. I find it most effective on my hands, though not completely removing the pain, I have more flexion in my fingers now. I will continue t use Voltaren Gel along with close monitoring by my PCP.

This was prescribed for help w/ inflammation of my achilles tendons fr. micro tears. I used 4 times over 3 days and in the middle of the night on the 3rd day I woke with very strong pains under my left breast in the adominal area. I thought it might be indigestion and took pepto and ginger-ale, but it did not help. Pain persisted for nearly 12 hrs until it finally disappeared. This was more than uncomfortable and it scared me! After reading the insert of side effects that was included in the box of gel I am worried that it could have done liver damage even with the short (and small) amount of it I used. It appeared to be working well, but I will not be using it again. Read More Read Less

First time that I found a drup that takes some of the pain away. Three times a day with a large amount. The killer is the price even with insurance. I note that it will go down with Medicare but still pretty high. I have been using it sparingly like once a day. Not as effective but at least it works.

This did nothing at all to relieve the pain from tendinitis in my wrist and it was expensive compared to other treatment options.

Had this and regular Tablet Voltareen Prescribed by my General Physician for Pain, and Multiple cracking sounds that would come from even slightly bending My right big Toe. I have had issues with Gout in that Foot for quite awhile unfortunately. Also, My right Thumb has recently developed into a terrible, terrible Carpal Tunnel, and it, like My big Toe constantly cracks went bent, or even going to pick things up, or lift certain heavier things. This Medication works, but only for a very short while, I have found. An Hour after using it, the full effects of the Pain have already come fully right back upon Me. That's been MY experience of Diclofenac Gel. If You're set on using Diclofenac for Your ailment, I would suggest using the Tablets, as I have also used those as well for the same issues and they seem to work much better. Read More Read Less

It does provide some relief for only about 30-45 minutes, but that's all.
