After my 6th afib bout in 5 years and 4 electro cardioversions my cardiologist suggested cryoablation. My brother had this done over a year ago. I am one of the worst patients he has... I never take my rythmol or Toprol... I can take a years worth of drugs, or get zapped once every 12 months. Anyway this time they put me on eliquis in prep for ablation. My doctor is very popular and its a 7 we...

Started on Pradaxa following Afib episode and had awful rectal bleeding. Switched to Eliquis and the bleeding problem stopped almost immediately. Very satisfied.

High end blood thinners like, Xarelto, Pradaxa and Eliquis have not worked for me at all. Pradaxa made me start bleeding profusly after the first week. Xarelto made me start bleeding profusly after the first day. As with Eliquis my part d does not pay for it and about 40% on the Pradaxa & Xarelto, Generic Coumadin has worked fine for a couple of years now. Home health nurse checks my PRNR's every 3 weeks now with just a finger prick. Doctor changes the dosage every now and then and I pay nothing for the generic Coumadin (Warfarin) drug or testing. It's covered. Sure beats paying $100 to $300 a month for the high end drugs. In the Eliquis ad the guy wants to up his game??? It's not a game folksRead More Read Less

My platelet count has been dropping ever since I started six months ago. I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK ON WARFARIN. DR couldn't control dosage of it. Had to go for blood test weekly... Dr hasn't yet decided what to do. Looks like no one else has had this problem ....

I discontinued warfarin and started on Eliquis Sept9. Within a week I noticed a significant change in my energy level. I haven't felt this good in years.

My Doctor seems to think this drug will help me more than coumadin because I was unable to keep a therapeutic level. I do not have Afib, not sure if its the right drug for me. Since starting Eliquis I've noticed tiredness, breathing problems and chest pain. Going to discuss this with my Doctor as soon as possible.

I left warfarin and started Eliquis 6 weeks ago. MY energy level skyrocketed and I feel like a new woman. It's been years since I've felt so good.

Twice a day dosage takes getting use to but I have had no side effects whatsoever. It is pricey but saves the expense and hassle of regular testing that warfarin requires.

i had a severe reaction to this drug. i had a skin burn like a very severe sunburn, it started on my face and slowly traveled down my body to my toes. i peeled at least 3 layer of skin off after the burn. i took prednisone and it slowed the effect down but did not stop it. it is starting again and i have not taken the drug for a month. i am worried that it has triggered something in my body that will continue. i never have side effects to drugs so i was totally taken by surprise. it was a severe reaction and i was in a foreign country when it happened. it ruined my trip.Read More Read Less
