I have Asthma and was coughing almost non-stop. My Doctor added Qvar along with my regular Proventil Inh. and in one week I was 88% back to normal on Peak flow. Yes I still have bad days but QVAR is working for me. You must use it daily and not miss any doses. Also wash out your mouth after each use. Your voice sounds may change somewhat but it's the breathing and life that count, make the most of...

I was on Advair for many years. On Advair I could walk 2 miles .Swim 20 laps and work running around at work with no SOB. I switched to Qvar as it was preferred on my drug plan.I could barely walk a 1/2 mile without becoming winded. For me it wasn't worth the money saved .I also needed to use a rescue inhaler again.

I find that it does help open me up so it is easyer to breath but I am having joint stiffness in my legs, arms and fingers,I am 71 years old and wondering if this could be just related to my age.

I had severe tingling in my legs and feet and numbness in my feet from this medicine. The numbness has gone away, but one week later, still severe tingling.

My son is 8 and started taking this drug for his asthma in May because our insurance does not cover Singulair anymore. He has had terrible mood swings and anxiety. Am going to the Dr. today to try and get him back on Singulair. No matter the expense his happiness is worth alot more than any money. Hopefully by the time school starts again he will be back to his cheerful self again.

My son is 5 and was given the Qvar inhaler as a preventative medicine. Since he has been on it (I believe a month now) he has been moody, complaining more of leg pains, and disruptive at school. His breathing has been fine lately, which is was when he wasn't sick anyways, but the attitude change worries me.

extreme dry mouth has caused dental issues from using the medication - since I have to use it for my chronic bronchitis - I have to find ways to assist w/the elimination of dry mouth. No Where on the literature does it talk about this issue!

so far qvar has been the best asthma preventive i have used, and i have been asthmatic for 22 years, it is quick to take affect and i have not had any negative side effects. I recommend this medicine to any asthmatic who cant get their asthma under control, it works way better than advair, which gave me pneumonia and canker sores. the only downfall is the price, it is spendy at walgreens it is $150+ with out insurance but it is worth the cost, hopefully a generic will come out soon

My 38 year old autistic son was switched to Qvar 6 months ago. He began having mild anxiety and now is anxious all the time. Had to switch because insurance wouldn't pay for the medication that worked and didn't cause side effects!! He's being switched to another medication that hopefully won't cause the anxiety.

i've been on this med for 1 week, and what a difference in my breathing!!-advair made my chest feel "heavy", and didn't work well to open my airways-the qvar opened me up, and i haven't used my albuterol inhaler once since starting it!love it-no more wheezing, coughing, cp, and fatigue..............

I like Qvar better then Advair, but my voice is getting weaker. I gargle and it is not helping. I have tried doing only one puff in the morning and one at night to combat this situation. Two puffs work the best. I was told you could get a throat infection using this inhaler and that scare me. I have energie when I use it and when I don't I tired. I wish I knew the long range affects using this product and what is it doing to my lungs.

I have had no adverse reactions using Qvar. I was switched from Pulmacort because my voice box was clogging up. Qvar cleared up the problem. Very effective in controlling the Sarcoidosis.
