I believe persons should take this drug as a first line of defense before opting for bypass surgery. If I knew what I know now, I would never have had a Five-Bypass Surgery (CABG). Most doctors wouldn't believe what I have done to keep myself alive. Except one; my present cardiologist. 62 planning to be 80

Angina and weakness with any exertion (couldn't even mow my yard). Have to take 30 mg 3 times a day, now I am back to 100%. No side affects.

I have been taking this drug on and off form many years. I had bypass at 34, then heart attack at 42. I still had to use nitro along with this medication. I have had problems with this medication not disolving in my stomach and coming out in the bowel whole.

Have been taking this medication, 30 mg, in addition to Bystolic and Benicar for about 6 weeks and have had no problems. Was hospitalized in November for angina after having 3 stents implanted in April. I take tylenol to reduce the slight headache, but have noticed I tend to get nausous often. But I am happy with how I feel overall and feel this medication is worth any side effects.I didn't see anyone mention that they felt tired while on this med. I do feel tired a great deal of the time. Has anyone else noticed this or felt this med has this effect on them? I've thought about splitting the pill and taking 1/2 in the a.m. and 1/2 at bedtime. Going to ask cardiologist first.Read More Read Less

I am happy to know that others have experienced extreme tiredness. I can't get enough sleep! I had bad, all day headaches when I first started the medicine but they have almost completely stopped. I would say the medicine has worked well, but I wish I could get by without it!

Started this after first stent. Within two years I had two more. No headaches or nausea, but low BP that made me pass out randomly, plus couldn't get orgasm. Stopped taking it, doctor hasn't noticed, so it must not be doing anything.

I have been on and off this med for years. Had triple bypass last year and have had 2 stents with one heart attack at age 34. I have been very lucky and do not have any side effects except it slowed me down so much and made me kind of foggy. Hard to work like that. I recently restarted again after hospitalization with chest pain and unstable angina. Now I take at night with most of my daily meds and I think it helps me sleep. I have only taken a few days now but so far so good!

Dr. prescribed for high BP. 1st day, Blood pressure improved, but horrific headaches , dizzyness, pressure in head, fuzzy eyesight, completely miserable all day. Symptoms decreased as the medication wore off. 2nd day, BP climbing and all other problems back again, pressure, dizzyness, debilletating headaches, and can't see clearly. 3 & 4th day, blood pressure climbing. Same problems as above. 5th day, blood pressure up to 129/86 same problems as above. 6th day, today, quit taking it. No headaches. I will not take it anymore. Read More Read Less
