The first 3 months of this drug definitely helped my RLS, but created nausea and hallucinations (flowers on the curtains jumping off curtains). I stuck it out though. 5 years later I still take the same dose but no longer have side effects. Definitely worth it in the long run.

I have tremors and have been diagnosed with the onset of Parkinsons. The medication seams to help in combination with Sinemet. It does not make me sleepy as others note. I do wake up with severe leg cramps specifically in my calves

Pramipexol has worked well for my restless leg syndrome. I take 0,088 mg at night before going to sleep and mostly that is enough. On rare occasions I may wake up and have to take another dose. I have not had any side effects. I take the drug also before a long flight etc.

Willis-Ekbom disease, previously known as Restless-Leg Syndrome. My mother and I both get severe uncontrolled muscle contractions, not just tingling, in our whole lower body. I have actually been known to almost kick an OR nurse when waking up from anesthesia.

I take as prescribed. Sometimes whan I take it I do not hae the RLS symptoms but they develope very quickly and I have to stand, walk, ride a stationary bike just something to use my legs. Other times when I take it the RLS symptoms do not develop and I never notice the RLS. Wish I knew how to just take it and not experience the RLS symptions as they are not pleasent..

I've been prescribed this drug to help with tremors, dizziness and gait issues. Dr's feel I have onset of Parkinson's. I've been taking this drug for about 6 weeks and have little to no tremors. I take this 3x's a day and can tell when it is time for next dose. However the MAJOR ISSUE is EXTREME SLEEPINESS. I've always been a person that it takes several minutes to an hour to fall asleep but not on this medicine. I'm out in less than 2-3 minutes. Only problem is taking this during the day and working because I've fallen asleep at my desk several times. Since I ride to work with my husband, I know sleep on the way into work, at lunch and on way home then turn around and go to bed about 5 hrs after I get home. It has helped my tremors but I do not like being so tired all the time. I have no energy.Read More Read Less

Treated with med. first for depression; then in addition, I took med. for side effects related to Geodon and other antipsychotics. It worked very well for both of the above problems and also, I experience a lot of the symptoms of parkinson's, for which this med. works very well. Much better than Artane and Amantadine.

I have restless syndrome and it affects my feet as well. Pramipexole has been the only med to help at all.

I take this medicine daily between 3:00-7:00pm when my restless legs start to kickin. It takes about an hour for the medicine to work but then I have no trouble until the next evening when the cycle repeats itself. It is a goodsend for me. I have tried other restless leg medicines with terrible results. One of them resulted in severe depression.

I take this drug for recently being diagnosed with RLS, originally at .25 mg in the evening. The first 4 days I slept better but woke up to headaches, each day the headache got worse. I cut the pills in half, I still have great results sleeping and no longer wake with headaches! So far so good - 3 weeks into this program!

I was put on this medication for RLS. I have encountered severe leg cramps during the night. It was so bed that I had to get up and walk around for quite some time before I could get it to stop. I had cramps several days in a row during the night. I even had a cramp in my upper leg before going to bed! I don't find the medicine working to stop my legs from moving at all. My leg cramps are a worse side effect than the problem of restless leg syndrome. I am calling the doctor tomorrow and getting off of this ASAP!Read More Read Less

Am a 62 yr.ole woman with chronic RLS;took Mirapex for many years and switched to the generic Pramipexole due to ridiculous cost of Mirapex. Take 1.5 mg four times a day. Med works well for RLS, BUT has VERY SEVERE sign effects such as Paranoia, Hallucinations, Delusions, eyesight and memory problems. Need this drug for the RLS, but now seeing a Psychiatrist for Zyprexa, psych drug stabilization. Not worth the side effects.

I started taking it for RLS and tremors. I still have to walk the floor many nights but I don't have tremors. I believe it puts a damper on my sleep. We have two more cases of Parkinson's in our family and they take it also.
