I have been taking only 50 mg of Seroquel a night for sleep and that puts me out. I see a lot of people talking about 200 mg plus, I can't imagine that. This medicine along with effexor has worked for my depression but I'm trying to get off of them since I have the worst side effects with weight gain and short term memory loss. After trying many different drugs and combinations of drugs prescribed by a psychiatrist to treat my Bipolar Depression with little success, my family doctor suggested I try Seroquel. I have been taking this drug since 2001 without noticeable side effects and it has put my condition in remission! I had problems sleeping prior to taking this medication. This is the worst drug I ever took,they need to take it off the market, it puts u in a temporary coma..I could not function I was falling asleep with a cigarate in my hand and almost burnt my house down, it burnt me couch, totally gone, I was driving at night and had to call my son, crying I was lost...in the morning I didn't remember going out even, many of times, I even stole 8 gallons of mi ... Has helped me level out, suffer with bi-polar manic depression episodes - seems to calm me and reactions to drama.
