This drug has worked fabulously for controlling my daughter's asthma. HOWEVER,it's side effects have been a nightmare. Began taking it after 3rd birthday, would not longer sleep in her bed, up numerous times /night, horrible temper tantrums, weepy, moody/irritable. Everyone thought she was just "going through a phase." Docs assured me could not be because of meds. They increased her dosage when s...

I gave this to my 3-y/o daughter for 3 days. She very quickly developed quite aggressive behavior and had disturbed sleep. 2 days after I discontinued use she was back to her old loving self. It was great for her allergies, but I will NOT use it.

Singulair has been of no benefit to me. I have persistent mild asthma. I find that an anti-histamine helps more for the uncomfortable feeling in my chest; I use generic Allegra, which works great!

I have severe allergies. This medication slowed and almost stopped the runny nose but did nothing for the sneezing, itchy throat, and itchy, watery eyes.

Excellent medication. I have tried virtually every antihistamine on the market. I suffered from severe episodes of sinusitis and this medication has prevented all new episodes. Thank you for this med.

My daughter just turnrd three years old, And she was given this medicational for allergic/night caugh and runny nose. The second time my daughter took the medication, she started to develop rashes, vomiting...and i mean serious vomiting. I called doctor and she told me that my daughter has a stomach virus. My daughter started to complain of stomach ache, pain on her wrist and lower knee. My three years old daughter would stay awake till 4am, because she could not sleep. We did not realize the seriousness of the side effect of this medication untill her third day of taking it. My daughter was so weak, and heavy breathing to the point that we have to call her doctor again at 2am. Though, I am not a doctor, but my advice to other parents...please DO NOT give this medication to (child)anyone under the age of 12. It's a horrible experience to see a child go through such a pain.Read More Read Less

I started taking this medicine for allergies. I also have irritable bowel syndrome. After only one dose, I had bad diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal cramps. I will not try this medicine again. I don't know if it would have helped my allerfies or not, I only took one dose.

I have had 47 years of allergies. In the past few years I have developed allergic asthma. No other medication has worked as well for me as Singulair at easing the allergy symptoms, which in turns reduces the attacks of allergic asthma. The only negative side effect I have encountered is bad breath while taking the product.
