The ulcers on my tongue caused by oral lichen planus started to improve within two days of using Oralone. It seems to alter the way some things taste, but that's better than the sores that make it difficult to eat many foods.

My experience with canker sores has gone from terrible to non-issue because of Oralone. I have been getting canker sores on the insides of my cheeks from stress or accidental bites (e.g., while eating food) for the past 15 years, and have tried just about anything to make canker sores heal up. Everything I’ve tried (except Oralone when used in a specific way, see below) has only temporarily relieved pain rather than heal the canker sore. Before using Oralone, I could count on a canker sore going from a pin-prick sized sore to an inflamed ulcer about the size of a large pencil eraser over the course of about two weeks. This made eating, drinking, and talking painful. However, Oralone completely prevents that from happening. The way I’ve been using Oralone has actually allowed the canker sores to heal, going from raw to mostly-healed overnight. I don’t know how Oralone does it magic, but it works. I apply Oralone right before going to bed, after I’m done doing everything else to get ready for bed. When applying Oralone, I dab the canker sore with a napkin until it’s mostly dry and then apply a small glob of paste (half the size of a pea on your finger) to the canker sore. Afterward, I keep my mouth closed and do as much as possible to make sure I don’t disturb the glob of paste on the canker sore; you want the protective glob to be there all night so that the sore is protected and allowed to heal. Don’t eat, drink, or talk. Go to bed and sleep. When you wake up, the sore should be mostly healed or, at a minimum, the sore will be much better than it was the day before (if it still needs to heal some more, apply a glob the next night). Applying Oralone this way has allowed me to heal canker sores in 1-2 days, which is amazing given that canker sores typically lasted 2 weeks for me. I wish Oralone were available over-the-counter. The only downside to Oralone is that you have to get a prescription for it, but it's worth it.Read More Read Less
