I take Ondansetron 4mg. tablets 1-2 times daily and have nothing bad to say about it. Originally I was taking the Zofran tablets that melt under your tongue until my insurance company began refusing to fill my Rx for the amount written. I had to prove that it was medically necessary for me to be taking them. I was told by the ins comp that I didn't have an illness that this medication was intended...
Have experience severe back pain and spasms with overall feeling very sick.

I have gallbladder disease. I occasionally pass gravel (very small stones) and or sludge (thickened secretions). My tummy swells up and I have severe nausea and vomiting lasting about 24 hours. This medication lets me stay home and away from the emergency room. I take 8mgs. every 8 hours.

Dissolves in mouth, no timid try to keep pill down when you are already vomiting. Prescribed to me after oral surgery, and I am so great full for learning about this drug!! Ask for it now for all vomiting sickness, for my kids too. Stops the dry heaving.

I have an extremly sensitive stomach and it is impossible for me to take any type of pain pills, I just throw them up and whatever I ate in about an hours time. I have tried every other antinausea rx and homeopathic med. out there finally at 35 years old a doc gave me this and it is a life saver! I currently have a broken heel from slipping on ice and was given tramadol for pain which was supposed to be gentle on my stomach...Nope, just threw it up! I am going to have to have some ondansetron filled again!Read More Read Less

This has been the most effective anti-nausea medication I have taken. It was most effective when taken continuously through chemo and bone-marrow transplant process. It doesn't "knock you out" like Phenergan and others I have tried.

While using this drug, I am still nauseated and vomiting. I was currently taking promethazine but my Doctor switched me to ondansetron. I am waiting for a call back from my Doctor to switch me back.

I have been taking phenergan as needed (prn) for nausea when I experience migraine headaches. I am having a serious bad reaction to it!!!!!! I tried to call the on call doctor several times, to no avail. I left a couple of messages for my doc of 10 years that I did not understand why he would call in a medication for daily use; that is used for people on chemo and radiation. I induced vomiting. I am calling my attorney tomorrow morning about this. There is no excuse for the f up, and I am pursuing to take whatever is takes to stop it from happening to somebody else!!!!!! I am very disappointed and angry!!!!Read More Read Less

Was taking the round pill and had some of the ones that dissolve in your mouth, both worked well. Just got a new refill and now it's oval in shape and does NOT work as well. It is probably an insurance perference. I am fed up with people who are capable of using a computer and filing claims taking charge of my health care. I hope they like the bills when I end up in er and hosp. stay because they are allowed to be doctors. It's time we all stood up to these people and demand the best available care in aspects of our health care needs. Read More Read Less
