The OTC preparation now called Kaopectate no longer contains any Kaolin or Pectin; now the OTC version is an Opiate mimic and is used to control diarrhea. Read what's in the bottle before you buy it!

It's curious that you equate docusate calcium with kaopectate............ kaopectate is a fairly well known, anti-diarrhea medication; and docusate calcium is a fairly well known anti-constipation medication..... who's zooming who ??

I can't recommend Kaopectate for treatment of constipation as is recommended by the article. Please talk with your pharmacist before taking Kaopectate for constipation!!!!
