I took Plavix on 2 different occasions. I was put on the medication after my first heart stent took it for 1 yr. discontinued the medication. I took it again after another heart stent took it for another year I'm now currently not on the medication. I had no problems with plavix other than bruising very easily.

After taking this medication for 14 months I wound up bleeding from the large intestine and came very close to dying! I required 3 pints of blood and 2 saline solutions to get back to any resemblance to normal. This is a very dangerous drug that came awful close to killing me!

It "may" have helped initially but my cardiologist had me taking Plavix and asprin for 5-years following my heart attack. I finally stopped after suffering from constant bruising, internal and external bleeding and esophageal spasm. For those who haven't experience a heart attack and esophageal spasm they feel exactly the same. As a result, I had a number of invasive tests and procedures, hospital stays including several additional cardiac cathorizations. The culprit? Side effects of plavix and asprin. Did it help me? Not sure but I know about the damage it causes.Read More Read Less
